Moving Forward

Led by the Wild has taken a knock from the punches thrown by the pandemic but we are coming back fighting and have put lots of measures in place so we can begin to gradually operate again.

We have taken into account all the government advice and written a fully comprehensive, detailed policy outlining the steps we are taking to order to open again in a way that minimises the risk posed by COVID-19. This document is available to anyone who will be attending our groups, volunteering on site or visiting Led by the Wild.       Coronavirus Policy pdf            Covid Risk Assesment

Individuals and families attending our groups will find things different with new rules that will need to be strictly adhered to but what hasn’t changed is our beautiful site and the friendly, welcoming atmosphere that we pride ourselves on.

Examples of the measures we are taking:

  • Increased hand washing stations in our education area
  • Alcohol hand wash as you enter the site from the carpark
  • Reduction in the numbers of people who attend any of our groups
  • Social distancing expected between family bubbles during our groups
  • Separate resources for each family which are cleaned at the end of each session.

Emergency Funding Request

Led by the Wild  have decided to set up a Go Fund Me page to help us meet the costs we are facing as a result of COVID-19. Over the past four months our funding has dwindled and we have had no income from the groups that we would, under normal circumstances, be running. Added to this we have sadly had some vandalism to our site incurring further expenses we need to meet. We really hope the community to get behind us so we can continue to offer nature based experiences for the local community and continue our conservation work. If you would like to make a donation, please follow the link below.
