Support Us

At Led by the Wild, we are extremely fortunate to have such a wonderful site from which to run our groups but, while the natural environment is exceptional, there are additional facilities, equipment and staffing that need funding. As a Community Interest Company (CiC), all the money we raise is put straight back into the organisation to help us broaden the range of activities and experiences we can offer the local community.

To fund the work, we charge for various outdoor learning sessions, are supported by individual donations and we also raise money through grant funding applications to trusts and foundations. However, there are many things that we still want to achieveand costs that we need to cover, so fundraising is vital for us.

 The Wish List

There are various ongoing costs as well as planned projects and events for which we are still seeking support. We would welcome any help that you could give us with these initiatives. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you would like to donate or talk about sponsoring a project.

  • Supporting our outdoor education projects where we provide opportunities for children from all walks of life, including lower income families, with chances to learn and grow in nature.

  • Employing our first member of staff to enable us to bring about a step change in how we work.

  • Broadening our outreach work with refugees, the isolated and those with mental health conditions

  • Enhancing our community garden and conservation work.

Above all, we have set our hearts on employing our first paid employee in 2022 and we hope that we can gather the funds to pay for a manager to run the site on a day-to-day basis. This would be an amazing step for our not-for-profit and enable our work to blossom. We’d love to hear from anyone who would like to support this venture.

Our Thanks

We’ve been fortunate to get support from a range of organisations and people. This has enabled us to install an all-weather car park onsite, add composting toilets in the woods, support our Tree Tots group and enhance our Community Garden Project.
In particular, we would like to thank: Kent Community Foundation, The National Lottery, The Wates Foundation, The Edina Trust, The Hornbeam Charitable Fund, The Co-operative, Donations with a Difference, Aldington and Bilsington Parish Council, and councillor Clair Bell, who awarded us money from the Combined Members Grant.

Raise Funds for Us ….

We rely on the generous help of our supporters to raise funds. One way you can do this is by carrying out your own fundraising. If you love a challenge, you could organise a fundraising event, even in your own home or garden. We are always here to support our fundraisers, so please get in touch to let us know what you are planning and how we can help. Sometimes we arrange our own fundraising events too, just let us know if you’d like to take part or simply attend.
